Bonus Friday post this week! I just could not wait one more minute to show off Isabella’s senior session so this week we’re finishing out the week with an extra blog post.

And if you don’t know it already, one of my absolute favorite parts about our city is the beautiful ivy EVERYWHERE… and in the fall it becomes a stunning blanket of fall colors. I just love everything about this session so now lets take a look……..

Oh my goodness guys, do you know when the last senior girl was on the blog?!?! Over a MONTH ago (Ariel’s feature was December 8th!). It’s been families, babies, weddings (oh my) around here for awhile and it’s definitely time we circled back around to some seniors!!! I’m getting so excited to wrap up work on our remaining class of 2017 seniors and the model applications for our class of 2018 models are already rolling in!

But it’s not time for the class of 2018 her on the blog yet…. no today is all about Bailee, a Sullivan High School SENIOR class of 2017! I am absolutely in love with SO many of Bailee’s images. She has the most stunning eyes and flawless complexion that she really didn’t take one bad image the whole time. While she has a stunning smile as you’ll see this girl can rock a serious face like no other. It was hard for us to say ‘no’ to any of the serious ones but that’s ok, Bailee picked out an album so we didn’t have to say no to many and can feature them ALL.

| Mullen Family Portraits | Decatur IL Family Photographer |

You guys might remember Kayle one of our class of 2017 senior models! Well this fall I had the chance to get her whole family in for their session. I absolutely loved working with Kayle and her mom for her senior portraits and it was even more fun to get her sister and dad in front of the camera too for these family images.

Some of you might have gotten this little treat in the mail from them! Their Christmas cards were one of my favorites. I just loved working in their favorite family portrait with just a subtle foil border on the front and a little reminder of the reason for the season on the back.

Now this design you’ll find hung on their wall soon! For Kayle’s senior portraits we created a wall collage with 3 separate canvases so they wanted to do something a bit different for the family portraits and decided on a digital collage to feature all their favorite images in a single canvas piece.

As happens often with our senior families, Kayle now has feature images in the home but poor Mahala (who’s not a senior yet) was a bit underrepresented. So the solution?! We took a few minutes during their family session to create some individual portraits for Mahala! While, of course, we’ll create LOTS more come her senior year this will tide them over until then.

| Dylan | Warrensburg-Latham High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2017 |

Dylan was one of our 2017 Warrensburg-Latham high school seniors this year! You may remember seeing the WLHS yearbook photos for the year. Each year I get to create the senior class portraits and while I love the classic and timeless look of a studio portrait I also love getting to dive a bit deeper with our senior experience sessions to show off these senior’s personalities.

For Dylan, this meant outdoors, hunting and his dog! So after we created his studio portraits we headed out to some land where he hunts to create portraits of him in his element outdoors.

| Ariel | Argenta-Oreana High School Senior Portraits | Class of 2017 |

Today it’s Ariel’s debut on the blog! Ariel, her mom and I had a fantastic time at Forsyth Park and around downtown Decatur creating her senior portraits. Her session kicked off with a bang with a snake sighting which propelled me and her mom into full on girl screams and ‘evacuation mode’ …. I took off so fast I left my lighting gear in the dust (Ariel who was unphased and laughing at our over the top reactions saved the day by going back over to the snake zone to rescue my gear!). Needless to say I think there’s one area of Forsyth park I think we’ll avoid from now on (we noticed quite a few holes that I’m now convinced were a little snake neighborhood – AHHH).
