I’m excited to show you some favorites from another family session this week! I got to meet these guys for the first time at their recent Limited Edition session day and I have to say these boys were some of the most photogenic I’ve ever had on session.

This might shock you, but not every guy (no matter their age) I have on session wants to be there. It’s not always their favorite way to spend their time, but you’d have never guessed that with these boys. They were full of great smiles and personality and just so much fun to work with and I so hope to have the chance to work with this gorgeous family again in the future.

Today I get to share this beautiful family with you. I finished up their album design this week (check out the time lapse video of that below!) so their stunning metal wall collage and custom album will be headed home with them soon.

I loved giving each kiddo their own time in the spotlight on session. Plus, giving all three siblings a chance to snuggle up and how adorable is that!?!?

I love that the Miller’s chose our modern metal portraits for their wall. They will make these colors sing and mimic the backlit screens we spend our days looking at so have a bold rich look that is unique to our metal/glass options.

I’m excited to share Mahala’s senior session with you all today! I met her family a few years ago when her sister Kayle was one of our senior models. And then I got to photograph her for the first time at their family session that year. This beautiful family moved to sunny Florida (#jealous) so getting the chance to create again for them wasn’t on my radar making Alicia’s message about planning Mahala’s session such a wonderful surprise.

We had a small window of time to work with while they were in the state, but that was no problem (thank goodness weather worked out for us!). It was so much fun to hang out with Mahala AND her sis and momma joined us on session too so I got to hang with them all for a bit! Now, her canvases and album are all being carefully printed and will be in the mail on their way to Florida in the next few days so it’s time to share the whole thing with you guys too!

My vote for their next family session is a destination session for me in Florida 😉 #soundslikeaplantome !!!

| Aly | Warrensburg-Latham High School Senior Model | 2020 |

Today, I get to share Aly with you! She’s a Warrensburg-Latham High School senior and one of our class of 2020 senior models! And what’s I’d call a second-gen SJP senior as I first photographed her older sister’s senior portraits a few years ago. I was so excited to work with this family again as they are always a blast and Aly did an amazing job at every single session.

Plus, since we loved a ton and they selected an album to feature ALL their favorites I get to share them all with you here too (YAY)…

One thing I’m loving about the new studio space is the options it gives us for a variety of looks even before we break out any backdrops… natural window light, barn doors, the feature staircase! So many options that are 100% unique for our SJP seniors.

And last but not least, how about a throwback to the first few sessions with Aly at her debut headshot session and freezing cold Indianapolis sessions. I’m so not kidding when I talk about how much these ‘kids’ change over their last few years of high school and that’s why I love that we kick off working with so many senior models & influencers at the end of their sophomore years. Class of 2021/22 can apply to join us NOW!

Today I get to share such a beautiful wedding with you all! I’ve worked with Melanie for years and have had the honor to photograph her family since her girls were like half as tall as they are now. It’s always one of my favorite sessions each year and I look forward to hanging out with these sweet and spunky ladies each time. And now, we’ve added two equally amazing dudes to the mix, which I have to say make it even more fun (me and Ethan are buds, ya’ll).

It was a bit of an adventure as when we first pulled up to the house it was monsooning like crazy but we didn’t let a little (TON of) rain stop us! We busted out the umbrellas and headed to the gazebo at Scovill and embraced the rain. And it cleared enough for us to grab some family portraits outside after the ceremony too (YAY). I’m so happy to have gotten to share this special day with these two (five) amazing people and I cannot wait to watch their littles keep growing.
